I’ve done a few little “practice” runs over the last two weeks. I kinda felt like I might jinx it if I announced it, so I just kept quiet and did a couple easy miles at a time.
After 3 SLOW miles tonight, my ankles still feel ok. So that’s awesome. But, I’m all paranoid I’m gonna overdo it and fuck them up again :/
Baby steps? Baby steps.
Also an FYI: if you basically completely quit running and start eating shitty food and work nights for two months straight, you will lose EVERY TINY FUCKING BIT of strength and endurance you might have had.
I really am starting over.
Three miles slow. No real pain in the ankles, just some soreness.
Exciting I know.
I meant to post earlier but I forgot.
Missed Monday’s, sore ankles after 3 nights at work.
Did 3 slooooooow miles today (Weds).
Have to be referred to Sports Medicine doc by my PCP so it’s going to be at least a couple weeks before I get in to see them. Meaning my body will probably have healed on it’s own before anyone even sees me. Thank you government and your awesome healthcare system.
If you actually read this post, I’m sorry.
Monday 3
Friday 4
And I’ll try for 5 tonight
My ankles are bothering me again. Not as bad as before but they’re tender. I think I might make an ortho/sports med appointment.
Failed to post yesterday’s run because as soon as I walked back in the door I got a frantic call from work asking where the hell I was. Apparently someone switched up my schedule and forgot to tell me. Ughhhhh. Needless to say, I panicked and scrambled and got there 30 mins later.
Anyway, ran 3 yesterday evening, walked around the unit for 12 hours, came home and slept, and then ran 3 this evening.
My ankles hurt.
Replying to a group MMS is just like “reply to all” in an email.
Love you anyway
